Call for Applicants - City Council

CALL FOR APPLICANTS- 3 City Council Seats. The City of Bandera requests your consideration for participation in an important aspect of city government with a call for applicants to serve on the City Council for a two-year term which expires in November 2027. The City Council usually meets the second and fourth Tuesday of the month at 6:00PM.
Election day is November 4, 2025. The last day to turn in your application for a place on the ballot is August 18,2025 at 5 pm. You can stop at City Hall to pick up your election packet at 511 Main Street, Bandera TX 78003

Qualifications of Members of Governing Body
(a)
To be eligible for the office of mayor of the municipality, a person must be a registered voter and must have resided within the municipal limits for at least the 12 months preceding the election day. For purposes of this subsection, residency in an area while the area was not within the municipal limits is considered as residency within the limits if the area is a part of the municipality on election day.
(b)
To be eligible for the office of alderman of the municipality, a person must be a registered voter and must reside on election day in the ward from which the person may be elected.
